A patch is available and should be applied to affected linux-aws kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue is fixed in updated kernel releases. Users should update to the patched kernel versions to mitigate this vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's UFS core driver could cause a system crash due to a race condition during suspend when runtime power management level is zero. The issue arises because exception event handling work was not properly flushed, potentially leading to illegal hardware access during power-down. This flaw has been fixed by ensuring explicit flushing of exception handling work and disabling auto BKOPs before suspend proceeds. The vulnerability affects specific linux-aws kernel versions. A patch is available to address this issue.
