An official patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions to resolve the memory leak. The vendor advisory confirms the issue is fixed. Users should update their linux-hwe-edge kernel packages to versions including this fix. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official update.
Description
A memory leak vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/bridge samsung-dsim driver was fixed. The issue occurs in the samsung_dsim_host_attach() function where failure in subsequent calls after drm_bridge_add() leads to the bridge not being removed, causing a memory leak. The fix adds proper error handling to ensure drm_bridge_remove() and samsung_dsim_unregister_te_irq() are called on error paths. This vulnerability affects certain versions of the linux-hwe-edge kernel and has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 5.5.
