AI-suggested

A patch is available and should be applied by updating to Linux kernel versions 7.0.0-28.28 or later (and related fixed builds). After applying the update, a system reboot is required. Due to an ABI change, third-party kernel modules must be recompiled and reinstalled. Follow the vendor advisory instructions for updating the kernel packages to the fixed versions. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond applying the official fix.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's accel/ivpu subsystem allowed re-exporting of imported GEM buffers, which caused loss of buffer flags and could lead to incorrect device access and data corruption. This issue has been resolved by adding a check that disallows re-exporting imported GEM objects. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related builds. A patch is available and should be applied to mitigate the risk.
