Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-4390 is a use-after-free vulnerability in TeamSpeak 3 Server affecting versions 3.13.0 through 3.13.7. The flaw resides in the process_resend_queue function of the Connection State Management component, allowing remote attackers to manipulate memory after it has been freed. This can cause instability or potentially enable further exploitation. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 base score of 5.3, indicating medium severity. The vendor has released version 3.13.8 which addresses this issue.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may lead to use-after-free conditions, which can cause application crashes or potentially allow attackers to execute arbitrary code or disrupt service. The CVSS score of 5.3 reflects a medium severity with network attack vector, low attack complexity, and no user interaction required. Privileges required are low, and the vulnerability impacts confidentiality, integrity, and availability to a limited extent.

Mitigation Recommendations
