VulnerabilityCVE-2026-43947cvecve-2026-43947cwe-863
Published: 07/21/2026 (07/21/2026, 21:33:09 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: frangoteam
Product: FUXA

Description

FUXA version 1.3.0 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability in the POST /api/runscript endpoint when secureEnabled is true. An attacker can exploit the test mode feature to execute arbitrary code by supplying a valid script ID and name. This occurs because the endpoint executes attacker-supplied code instead of the stored script's code when test: true is set. The vulnerability is fixed in version 1.3.1.

Technical Analysis

FUXA 1.3.0 has an incorrect authorization vulnerability (CWE-863) in the /api/runscript endpoint. When secureEnabled is true, the endpoint normally checks authorization against stored script permissions by ID. However, if the request includes test: true, the server compiles and executes attacker-supplied code rather than the stored script. An unauthenticated attacker who knows a valid script ID and name can exploit this to achieve remote code execution. Script IDs and names can be obtained via an unauthenticated information disclosure vulnerability in GET /api/project. The vulnerability requires at least one server-side script to exist and be accessible without restrictive permissions. Version 1.3.1 addresses this issue.

Potential Impact

An unauthenticated attacker can execute arbitrary code on the server running FUXA 1.3.0 by exploiting the test mode in the /api/runscript endpoint. This leads to a high-severity remote code execution vulnerability, potentially compromising the affected system.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade to FUXA version 1.3.1, which fixes this vulnerability. No other mitigation is indicated. Patch status is confirmed by the vendor stating version 1.3.1 fixes the issue.
