Published: 05/08/2026 (05/08/2026, 13:33:51 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: MervinPraison
Product: PraisonAI

Description

PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. From version 2.4.1 to before version 4.6.34, PraisonAI exposes optional SQL/CQL-backed knowledge-store implementations that build table and index identifiers from unvalidated name and collection arguments. Applications that pass untrusted collection names into these backends can trigger SQL or CQL injection. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.34.

Technical Analysis

PraisonAI, a multi-agent teams system by MervinPraison, had a vulnerability (CVE-2026-44337) due to improper input validation (CWE-20) in its optional SQL/CQL-backed knowledge-store implementations. Specifically, from versions 2.4.1 to before 4.6.34, the system constructed table and index identifiers from unvalidated name and collection arguments. When applications passed untrusted collection names, this could trigger SQL or CQL injection (CWE-89). The vulnerability is addressed in version 4.6.34.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation could allow an attacker with low privileges and no user interaction to cause limited confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts by injecting malicious SQL or CQL commands through untrusted collection names. This could lead to unauthorized data access or modification and potential service disruption. However, no known exploits are currently reported in the wild.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade PraisonAI to version 4.6.34 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched. Since this is an on-premises product, applying the official update is necessary to remediate the issue. Patch status is confirmed by the vendor's advisory indicating the fix in version 4.6.34.
