Description

Rsync versions prior to 3.4.3 contain an integer overflow vulnerability in the receiver's compressed-token decoder. This overflow can be triggered by a malicious sender, potentially allowing extraction of sensitive memory data such as environment variables, passwords, and memory pointers. The leakage of these pointers can weaken ASLR protections and facilitate further exploitation. This vulnerability is fixed in version 3.4.3.
