Description

CVE-2026-45412 is a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the open-source AI assistant MaxKB by 1Panel-dev. Versions prior to 2. 9. 1 allow authenticated users to supply arbitrary URLs in the work_flow_template. downloadUrl parameter, which the server fetches without validating the URL or filtering internal IP addresses. Technical Analysis

MaxKB versions before 2.9.1 contain an SSRF vulnerability (CWE-918) in the work_flow_template import functionality. Authenticated users can specify arbitrary URLs in the work_flow_template.downloadUrl field, which the server fetches without any URL validation or internal IP filtering. This allows attackers to make the server perform unintended HTTP requests. The issue is resolved in version 2.9.1.

Potential Impact

An authenticated user can exploit this SSRF vulnerability to cause the MaxKB server to make arbitrary HTTP requests. This could potentially be used to access internal resources or services not otherwise accessible to the attacker. The CVSS score of 6.3 reflects a medium impact level. There are no known exploits in the wild at this time.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade MaxKB to version 2.9.1 or later, where this SSRF vulnerability is fixed. Since the vendor advisory confirms the fix in 2.9.1, applying this official update is the recommended remediation. No other mitigation guidance is provided or required.
