What to do

AI-suggested

A fix is available as the vulnerability has been resolved in the Linux kernel. Users should update to the fixed kernel version provided by their distribution. Since this is not a cloud service, remediation requires applying the official kernel update. Patch status is not explicitly confirmed in the provided data; users should consult their vendor or distribution advisory for the exact fixed versions and update instructions.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's crypto subsystem (inside-secure/eip93) caused a panic on platforms lacking full hardware support for certain crypto algorithms. The issue arose because the unregister function removed all algorithms regardless of hardware support, leading to instability. This vulnerability has been resolved.
