A fix is available and has been applied in the Linux kernel. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to resolve this issue. No additional mitigation actions are required beyond applying the official patch.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's PCI/P2PDMA subsystem was fixed where a per-CPU reference to a page map was not released if vm_insert_page() failed during memory allocation. This caused memunmap_pages() to hang indefinitely when removing the PCI device. The issue was resolved by adding the missing percpu_ref_put() call to properly release the reference.
