A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue has been fixed in updated kernel releases. Users should update to a fixed kernel version to resolve this vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's KVM nested virtualization implementation could cause a nested virtual CPU (vCPU) to hang due to improper synchronization of interrupt shadow state after a VMRUN operation. This issue affects certain versions of the linux-hwe-edge kernel and has been resolved in updated releases.
