An official fix is available and should be applied. The patch enforces strict length validation to reject invalid ATOMIC_WRITE payloads, preventing the memory disclosure. Users should update to a fixed Linux kernel version as provided by their vendor. No additional mitigation is required once patched.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's RDMA rxe driver allowed remote attackers to leak kernel memory by sending ATOMIC_WRITE requests with invalid payload lengths. The flaw caused the kernel to read 8 bytes beyond the logical end of the packet, disclosing kernel memory contents. This issue has been fixed by enforcing strict length checks to reject invalid ATOMIC_WRITE payloads.
