AI-suggested
A fix is available and has been released in Linux kernel versions 6.8.0-1058.61~22.04.1 and later. Users should upgrade to these fixed kernel versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's drm/amdkfd subsystem allowed stale VRAM data to be exposed to compute kernels due to missing VRAM clearing on allocation. This flaw could cause crashes in RCCL P2P transport by corrupting protocol handshake data. The issue was fixed by ensuring VRAM is cleared on allocation in affected kernel versions.
