A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vulnerability is fixed by clamping the num_touch_reports value to prevent out-of-bounds reads. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions as provided by their Linux distribution vendor advisories.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's HID PlayStation driver allowed reading beyond the bounds of the touch_reports array due to improper handling of the num_touch_reports value. This could lead to leakage of kernel memory data via evdev. The issue has been fixed by clamping the num_touch_reports value to the maximum array size.
