A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions to resolve the NULL-pointer dereference. The vendor advisory confirms that this issue is fixed in updated kernel releases. Users should update to the fixed versions as listed in the advisory.
Description
A NULL-pointer dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel's spi: s3c64xx driver was fixed by correcting improper DMA channel deallocation during driver unbind. This flaw could cause a kernel crash when the driver is unbound. The issue was addressed by dropping an incorrect DMA channel release call in the remove() function. Multiple Linux kernel versions are affected, and patches are available.
