Published: 06/12/2026 (06/12/2026, 21:03:08 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: nezhahq
Product: nezha

Description

Nezha Monitoring is a self-hostable, lightweight, servers and websites monitoring and O&M tool. From version 1.4.0 to before version 2.0.9, any authenticated non-admin member can connect to the server-status WebSocket and receive telemetry for all servers, including servers owned by other users. The normal server list API filters objects by HasPermission, but the WebSocket stream treats the presence of any authenticated user as authorization for the full unfiltered server list. This issue has been patched in version 2.0.9.

Technical Analysis

Nezha Monitoring is a self-hosted server and website monitoring tool. In versions >=1.4.0 and <2.0.9, the server-status WebSocket endpoint does not enforce proper authorization checks and allows any authenticated user, including non-admins, to receive telemetry data for all servers, including those owned by other users. This contrasts with the server list API, which correctly filters servers based on user permissions. The vulnerability results in unauthorized exposure of sensitive telemetry information. The issue was addressed and patched in version 2.0.9.

Potential Impact

Unauthorized authenticated users can access sensitive telemetry data for all servers monitored by Nezha, including those they do not own or have permission to view. This exposure could lead to information disclosure about server status and operations. There is no indication of impact on integrity or availability.

Mitigation Recommendations

Upgrade Nezha Monitoring to version 2.0.9 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched. No other mitigation or temporary workaround is indicated.
