CVE-2026-47411: CWE-269: Improper Privilege Management in MervinPraison praisonai-platform
PraisonAI Platform is the platform layer for the PraisonAI multi-agent teams system. Versions prior to 0.1.4 have an authorization bypass enabling workspace metadata + settings tampering. The `PATCH /workspaces/{workspace_id}` endpoint is gated only by `require_workspace_member(workspace_id)` (default `min_role="member"`). Any member can rewrite the workspace's `name`, `description`, and the `settings` JSON blob. The settings field is a free-form JSON object — depending on which downstream code reads it, this becomes a configuration-injection primitive for any setting the platform exposes there. PraisonAI Platform version 0.1.4 patches the issue.

Technical Summary
CVE-2026-47411 is an improper privilege management vulnerability in the PraisonAI Platform before version 0.1.4. The PATCH /workspaces/{workspace_id} endpoint is protected only by a membership check requiring a minimum role of 'member'. This allows any member to overwrite critical workspace metadata and the settings JSON blob. Since the settings field is free-form JSON, it can be leveraged as a configuration injection primitive, potentially impacting downstream components that consume these settings. The vulnerability is fixed in version 0.1.4.
Potential Impact
The vulnerability allows any workspace member to tamper with workspace metadata and settings, potentially injecting malicious configurations that affect downstream platform behavior. This can lead to unauthorized configuration changes, impacting the integrity of the workspace environment. Confidentiality and availability are not directly impacted according to the CVSS vector, but integrity is highly impacted.
Mitigation Recommendations
Upgrade PraisonAI Platform to version 0.1.4 or later, where this authorization bypass and privilege management issue has been fixed. No other mitigation is indicated or required.
