Technical Analysis

This vulnerability involves an integer underflow (CWE-191) in the NVIDIA GeForce GPU Display Driver kernel module on Windows. An attacker with local access could exploit this flaw to achieve code execution, denial of service, privilege escalation, information disclosure, and data tampering. The CVSS v3.1 base score is 7.8, reflecting high impact across confidentiality, integrity, and availability. No vendor advisory or patch details are available to confirm remediation status or affected versions.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation may result in full compromise of the affected system, including execution of arbitrary code, denial of service conditions, escalation of privileges, unauthorized disclosure of information, and modification of data integrity. The attack requires local access with low privileges and no user interaction is needed.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, limit local access to trusted users and monitor for suspicious activity related to the NVIDIA GPU driver.
