Until a fix is available, restrict authenticated user capabilities to limit exposure and review image location URI handling policies to prevent referencing external untrusted servers.
Description
CVE-2026-51773 is a high-severity vulnerability in the VMware datastore driver of OpenStack glance_store. It allows an authenticated attacker to provide a maliciously crafted image location URI pointing to an external server. The vulnerability arises because the _retry_request function does not validate the destination host before attaching sensitive authentication headers, potentially exposing these headers to unauthorized external servers.
