A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue is fixed in updated kernel releases. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to remediate this vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dualpi2 queuing discipline (qdisc) was fixed by correcting the packet dequeue logic in the dualpi2_change() function. The flaw caused a NULL skb dereference when traffic classification resulted in packets queued in the L-queue while the C-queue was empty, due to improper handling of queue draining during configuration changes. This could lead to a denial of service (kernel crash). The issue affects multiple Linux kernel versions and has been patched.
