A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue has been fixed in updated kernel packages. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to remediate this vulnerability.
Description
An out-of-bounds (OOB) read vulnerability in the Linux kernel's BPF subsystem was fixed. The flaw occurs when copying elements between BPF_MAP_TYPE_CGROUP_STORAGE and per-CPU maps with value sizes not aligned to 8 bytes, leading to an OOB read due to incorrect size assumptions. This issue affects certain Linux kernel versions and can cause a denial of service or information disclosure. A patch is available to correct this behavior.
