A fix is available as the issue was resolved by the commit renaming the configuration option from CONFIG_CFI_CLANG to CONFIG_CFI. Users should ensure their Linux kernel is updated to include this fix. No additional mitigation steps are indicated.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel related to the BPF subsystem was resolved by renaming a configuration option from CONFIG_CFI_CLANG to CONFIG_CFI. The incorrect configuration name caused the relevant code to be compiled out, allowing Control Flow Integrity (CFI) failures for btf_dtor_kfunc_t to still trigger. This issue has been fixed by the renaming commit.
