A patch is available and has been released in Linux kernel versions 7.0.0-31.31 and later. Users should upgrade to these fixed versions to remediate the issue. No additional mitigation is required as the fix addresses the root cause.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's dw_mmc-rockchip driver for very old Rockchip controllers (rk2928, rk3066, rk3188) caused NULL-pointer dereferences due to missing private data structures. This issue arose after a kernel commit made private data mandatory, leading to crashes on these old SoCs. The flaw has been fixed in Linux kernel versions 7.0.0-31.31 and later.
