AI-suggested
A patch is available and included in linux-hwe-edge kernel versions starting from 5.15.0-1111.115~20.04.1 and later. Users should upgrade to these fixed kernel versions to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are required beyond applying the official kernel updates.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's mvpp2 network driver was resolved, where the CPU cache synchronization did not properly cover the entire received packet data on non-coherent DMA systems. This could cause the CPU to read stale cache data for the end of received frames. The issue affects specific versions of the linux-hwe-edge kernel and has been fixed in later releases.
