AI-suggested

A fix is available in Linux kernel versions 7.0.0-31.31 and later. Users should upgrade to these fixed versions or later to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are required as the issue is resolved by the patch.

Description

A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's ptp (Precision Time Protocol) ocp driver was fixed by changing the order of resource freeing and unregister calls. The flaw involved freeing pin resources before unregistering the ptp clock, which could lead to use-after-free during driver removal. The fix also includes synchronizing IRQs to prevent handlers from running on other cores during device unregistration.
