AI-suggested
A patch is available and has been included in recent Ubuntu kernel updates (e.g., versions 5.15.0-1117.124~20.04.1 and later). Users should apply these official kernel updates to remediate the vulnerability. No additional mitigation steps are indicated by the vendor advisory.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth L2CAP subsystem was resolved by changing the channel closing mechanism in cleanup_listen() to use an asynchronous timer handler. This fix avoids lock order inversion issues by scheduling the channel close operation with a delay instead of calling it directly. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related builds. A patch is available and included in recent Ubuntu kernel updates.
