Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-53439 is a vulnerability in Jenkins prior to version 2.568 where insufficient permission checks permit users with Overall/Read permission to discover other users' timezone settings and enumerate the names of their "My Views." This information disclosure flaw does not require elevated privileges beyond Overall/Read access. No official remediation or patch information has been provided yet.

Potential Impact

Attackers with Overall/Read permission can gain knowledge of other users' timezone configurations and view names, potentially aiding in user enumeration or reconnaissance. There is no indication of privilege escalation or code execution. The impact is limited to information disclosure.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict Overall/Read permissions to trusted users only to minimize exposure.
