Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-53691 is an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in Redeight CMS 1.0. Authenticated attackers can exploit the POST "/admin/index.php?module=pages&mode=FileAdd" endpoint to upload arbitrary PHP files without proper validation of file extensions or MIME types. These files are stored in the publicly accessible "/uploads/files/" directory, allowing direct execution by the web server and resulting in remote code execution.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code on the server hosting Redeight CMS 1.0. This can lead to full system compromise, data theft, or further attacks within the affected environment.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official patch or remediation is currently available for this vulnerability. Users should restrict access to the affected endpoint and consider disabling file uploads until a fix is released. Monitor vendor advisories for updates regarding an official fix or mitigation guidance.
