Until a fix is available, restrict access to the Meet plugin endpoints and monitor for suspicious activity involving file uploads and token checks. Avoid exposing the Meet shared secret and remediate any path traversal or timing vulnerabilities in checkToken.json.php to prevent secret disclosure.
Description
AVideo versions up to 29.0 have an authorization bypass vulnerability in the Meet plugin's uploadRecordedVideo.json.php endpoint. The vulnerability allows an attacker who knows the Meet shared secret to upload a file with a crafted filename containing an arbitrary user ID, enabling passwordless login as that user, including admin. The shared secret can be obtained via path traversal or timing attacks against checkToken.json.php. This leads to full account takeover.
