Published: 08/22/2026 (08/22/2026, 15:31:02 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: WWBN
Product: AVideo

Description

WWBN AVideo through commit 9c39d8c8b4c1f75540788d6b391740852ceb0732 contains an authorization bypass vulnerability in the Users_affiliations add.json.php endpoint that allows authenticated users to forge two-party consent records by supplying the counterparty's agreement timestamp. Attackers can create a forged affiliation with status='a' and then reassign video ownership to arbitrary users through the videoAddNew.json.php endpoint, which trusts the forged affiliation as an authorization term.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-58002 is an authorization bypass vulnerability in WWBN AVideo up to commit 9c39d8c8b4c1f75540788d6b391740852ceb0732. The flaw exists in the Users_affiliations add.json.php endpoint, where authenticated users can forge two-party consent records by providing the counterparty's agreement timestamp. This allows attackers to create forged affiliations with an active status ('a') and subsequently reassign video ownership to arbitrary users through the videoAddNew.json.php endpoint, which relies on the forged affiliation as an authorization mechanism.

Potential Impact

An attacker with authenticated access can bypass authorization controls to forge affiliation records and reassign video ownership to arbitrary users. This could lead to unauthorized video ownership changes, potentially compromising content integrity and user trust within the platform.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. No official fix or temporary workaround has been documented at this time.
