AI-suggested

Upgrade identrail to version 1.0.2 or later, where this authorization bypass vulnerability is fixed. Since identrail is a cloud service, the vendor manages remediation for this cloud-hosted service. Verify with the vendor advisory that the service is updated accordingly. No additional mitigation actions are specified or required.

Description

A vulnerability in identrail prior to version 1.0.2 allows an authenticated tenant to bypass authorization controls by supplying another customer's GitHub installation ID. This flaw exists in the default-on and default-off GitHub connection completion endpoints, which do not verify that the installation ID belongs to the caller's workspace. As a result, an attacker can access private repository information and metadata of other organizations where identrail's GitHub App is installed. The issue is fixed in version 1.0.2.
