Technical Analysis

This vulnerability exists in the Internal Operations component of Oracle Sales Offline versions 12.2.3 to 12.2.15. It requires a high privileged attacker with network access via HTTP and is difficult to exploit. Successful exploitation can lead to complete compromise of Oracle Sales Offline and may affect other Oracle products due to scope change. The CVSS 3.1 vector indicates network attack vector, high attack complexity, high privileges required, no user interaction, scope changed, and high impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The vendor advisory from Oracle (July 2026 Critical Patch Update) references multiple patches but does not explicitly confirm a patch or remediation status for this specific vulnerability. Customers are urged to apply Critical Patch Updates without delay to mitigate risks.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows an attacker with high privileges and network access to take over Oracle Sales Offline, compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the product. The vulnerability's scope change means additional Oracle products may also be impacted. This could lead to unauthorized access, data compromise, and disruption of services related to Oracle Sales Offline and potentially other integrated Oracle products.

Mitigation Recommendations

Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2026.html for current remediation guidance. Oracle strongly recommends that customers remain on actively-supported versions and apply Critical Patch Updates promptly. Until an official patch is confirmed and applied, limit network access to Oracle Sales Offline to trusted users with high privileges and monitor for unusual activity consistent with exploitation attempts.
