Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-61312 is a vulnerability in the Internal Operations component of Oracle Product Hub within Oracle E-Business Suite. It affects version 12.2.3 and allows a low privileged attacker with network access over HTTP to compromise Oracle Product Hub. The vulnerability is difficult to exploit but successful exploitation results in complete takeover of the product and may affect other Oracle products due to scope change. The CVSS 3.1 vector (AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H) reflects network attack vector, high attack complexity, low privileges required, no user interaction, scope change, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Oracle's July 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory mentions multiple patches but does not explicitly state a fix or remediation level for this vulnerability. No known exploits in the wild have been reported.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation of CVE-2026-61312 can lead to complete compromise of Oracle Product Hub, including full confidentiality, integrity, and availability loss. The vulnerability also has a scope change effect, potentially impacting additional Oracle products beyond Product Hub. This could allow an attacker to take over the affected system and possibly affect other integrated Oracle components.

Mitigation Recommendations

Oracle has published a Critical Patch Update advisory in July 2026 that addresses multiple vulnerabilities including those in Oracle products. However, the advisory does not explicitly confirm the availability of a patch or remediation for CVE-2026-61312. Customers should review the Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpujul2026.html for the latest patch information and apply all relevant security patches promptly. Until explicit patch information is confirmed, organizations should monitor Oracle advisories for updates. No vendor advisory states that no action is required or that the vulnerability is already mitigated.
