AI-suggested

Upgrade SuiteCRM to version 7.15.2 or later, or 8.10.2 or later, where this SSRF vulnerability is fixed. No other mitigation is required as the vendor has provided an official fix.

Description

SuiteCRM versions prior to 7.15.2 and 8.10.2 contain a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability due to improper hostname validation. The SSRF protection implemented in version 7.15.1 uses substring comparison instead of strict hostname equality, allowing an authenticated attacker to bypass IP validation by placing the server hostname in a URL path. This enables the attacker to direct server-side requests to internal services. The issue is fixed in versions 7.15.2 and 8.10.2.
