AI-suggested

Upgrade LibreDWG to version 0.14 or later, where this vulnerability is fixed. Running the parser in a sandbox with memory limits can mitigate the impact but is not a full remediation.

Description

CVE-2026-62254 is a vulnerability in LibreDWG libredwg prior to version 0.14. It involves uncontrolled resource consumption caused by a specially crafted R13-R2000 DWG file that triggers an algorithmic resource exhaustion in the decode_R13_R2000 function. The issue arises because the class-decoding loop reallocates memory on every iteration without checking the number of classes, leading to a denial of service when parsing malicious files. This flaw is fixed in version 0.14.
