Product: Agora Project

Description

CVE-2026-63153 is a high-severity broken access control vulnerability in the Omnispace Agora Project before version 26.10.0. It allows authenticated attackers to bypass authorization checks in the setAffectations() function, enabling them to assign access rights to spaces they do not have permission to access. Technical Analysis

The Omnispace Agora Project versions prior to 26.10.0 contain a broken access control vulnerability in the setAffectations() function. Authenticated attackers can insert access-right records for arbitrary target spaces without verification of their rights to those spaces. This flaw allows attackers to assign access affectations outside their authorized scope, effectively breaking tenant isolation and granting unauthorized access to restricted spaces.

Potential Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows authenticated users to gain unauthorized access to restricted spaces by assigning themselves access rights to spaces outside their permission boundaries. This compromises tenant isolation and could lead to unauthorized data access or manipulation within the affected system.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in Omnispace Agora Project version 26.10.0 and later. Users should upgrade to version 26.10.0 or newer to remediate this vulnerability. Patch status is confirmed by the affectedVersions field indicating versions before 26.10.0 are vulnerable.
