Published: 10/13/2026 (10/13/2026, 19:46:07 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Omnispace
Product: Agora Project

Description

Omnispace Agora Project before 26.10.0 contains a predictable password-reset token vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to take over user accounts by computing the reset token as sha1(login.password), a deterministic and reusable value. Attackers can derive or brute-force the reset token from known or guessed login and password combinations to forge valid password-reset requests and hijack arbitrary accounts.

Technical Analysis

Omnispace Agora Project prior to version 26.10.0 contains a vulnerability in its password recovery mechanism where the reset token is computed as sha1(login.password). Because this token is deterministic and reusable, attackers can derive or brute-force it using known or guessed login and password combinations. This flaw enables unauthenticated attackers to forge valid password-reset requests and hijack arbitrary user accounts.

Potential Impact

An attacker can take over user accounts without authentication by exploiting the predictable password-reset token. This compromises account confidentiality and integrity, potentially leading to unauthorized access to user data and services.
