Technical Analysis

Omnispace Agora Project versions prior to 26.10.0 contain a session fixation vulnerability. Attackers can plant a known session ID in a victim's browser before the victim logs in. Because the application does not regenerate the session ID after authentication, the attacker can hijack the authenticated session and gain unauthorized access.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation allows remote attackers to hijack authenticated user sessions, potentially leading to unauthorized access to user accounts and sensitive data. The vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS 4.0 score of 8.6, indicating significant risk if exploited.

Mitigation Recommendations

A fix is available in Omnispace Agora Project version 26.10.0 and later. Users should upgrade to version 26.10.0 or newer to remediate this vulnerability. No additional mitigation guidance is provided; upgrading is the recommended action.
