Technical Analysis

Omnispace Agora Project prior to version 26.10.0 contains a SQL injection vulnerability in the calendar module. The vulnerability arises because the sortEvents parameter is directly concatenated into the ORDER BY clause in app/ModCalendar/CtrlCalendar.php without proper sanitization. Attackers can exploit this by injecting malicious SQL code, leveraging error-based techniques such as extractvalue payloads to retrieve database information including version data. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 score of 8.6, indicating high severity.

Potential Impact

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability allows an attacker with low privileges and no user interaction to extract sensitive database information, including database version details. This can lead to further attacks or data disclosure depending on the database contents and environment.

Mitigation Recommendations

No explicit patch or remediation details are provided in the input data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, avoid exposing the vulnerable calendar functionality or restrict access to trusted users only.
