Published: 10/13/2026 (10/13/2026, 20:03:22 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: Omnispace
Product: Agora Project

Description

Omnispace Agora Project versions before 26.10.0 contain a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability. Authenticated users can post messages with attacker-controlled iframes via the messenger's HTMLPurifier SafeIframe branch. These malicious iframes are stored and rendered automatically to other channel members, potentially enabling zero-click drive-by downloads and execution of framed JavaScript in recipients' browsers.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-63169 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in Omnispace Agora Project prior to version 26.10.0. The flaw arises from improper neutralization of input during web page generation, specifically allowing authenticated users to embed malicious iframes in messages through the HTMLPurifier SafeIframe branch. These iframes are stored and rendered to other users in the same channel, enabling execution of attacker-controlled JavaScript and potential drive-by download attacks without user interaction.

Potential Impact

The vulnerability allows authenticated users to inject malicious iframes into messages that are stored and automatically rendered to other channel members. This can lead to execution of arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of recipients, enabling zero-click drive-by downloads and other client-side attacks. The impact is limited to authenticated users posting messages but affects all users receiving those messages.

Mitigation Recommendations

No patch or official fix information is provided in the available data. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict or monitor message posting privileges and consider disabling rendering of iframes in messages if possible.
