Technical Analysis

Omnispace Agora Project prior to version 26.10.0 contains a missing authorization vulnerability where the actionVueEditUser function does not enforce the editRight() check. This allows regular members without administrative privileges to invoke the user-edit action and create new user accounts without proper authorization, resulting in privilege escalation.

Potential Impact

An attacker with a regular user account can exploit this vulnerability to create unauthorized user accounts, potentially escalating their privileges within the system. This could lead to unauthorized access and control over the application or its data.
