VulnerabilityCVE-2026-63730cvecve-2026-63730
Published: 07/20/2026 (07/20/2026, 18:44:22 UTC)
Source: CVE Database V5
Vendor/Project: hyperdxio
Product: hyperdx

Description

HyperDX versions before 2.31.0 have a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the webhook test endpoint. Authenticated team members can exploit this by supplying a crafted URL, bypassing hostname blacklist validation to make the server send requests to arbitrary internal network destinations. This can lead to enumeration of internal services, interaction with internal containers, or access to cloud instance metadata services. The vulnerability has a CVSS 4.0 base score of 5.3, indicating medium severity.

Technical Analysis

CVE-2026-63730 describes a server-side request forgery vulnerability in HyperDX prior to version 2.31.0. The flaw exists in the webhook test endpoint, where authenticated users can supply a URL that the server will request. Due to insufficient hostname blacklist validation, attackers can direct requests to internal network resources, including internal services, containers, or cloud metadata endpoints. This could allow attackers to gather sensitive information or interact with internal infrastructure components. The vulnerability requires authenticated access and has no known exploits in the wild as of the published date.

Potential Impact

An authenticated user can exploit this SSRF vulnerability to make the HyperDX server send requests to arbitrary internal network destinations. This can lead to internal service enumeration, interaction with internal containers, and access to cloud instance metadata services, potentially exposing sensitive information or enabling further attacks within the internal network. The CVSS score of 5.3 reflects a medium impact level.

Mitigation Recommendations

No official fix or patch is currently confirmed for this vulnerability. Patch status is not yet confirmed — check the vendor advisory for current remediation guidance. Until a fix is available, restrict authenticated user permissions to trusted personnel only and monitor usage of the webhook test endpoint to detect suspicious activity.
