Description
A use-after-free vulnerability (CVE-2026-63927) was identified and resolved in the Linux kernel's usb: dwc2 driver debug code. The flaw involved dereferencing a USB request block after it was freed, which is not allowed and could lead to system compromise. This vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to 7.0.0-28.28 and related variants. Official patches have been released and are included in recent Ubuntu kernel updates. Users are advised to apply these updates and reboot to mitigate the issue.
