What to do

AI-suggested

A fix has been applied to initialize val_v to zero before use, preventing uninitialized memory leakage. Users should apply the updated Linux kernel version containing this fix once available. No other mitigation steps are indicated.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's iio adc mt6359 driver was fixed by ensuring the variable val_v is initialized before use. Previously, if regmap_read() failed, val_v could remain uninitialized, causing random stack data to be reported as measurement results. This could lead to unintended leakage of stack memory contents.
