A patch is available and should be applied promptly to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory confirms that this issue has been fixed. Users should update their Linux kernel to the fixed versions to mitigate the risk.
Description
A high severity vulnerability (CVE-2026-63976) in the Linux kernel's Bluetooth L2CAP subsystem was fixed. The flaw involved failure to clear a channel identifier after successful ECRED reconfiguration, allowing remote attackers to replay failure responses with stale identifiers. This could cause the kernel to mistakenly destroy established Bluetooth channels. A patch is available and should be applied to mitigate this issue.
