A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue is fixed in updated kernel releases. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to remediate this vulnerability.
Description
A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's nvme-pci driver caused a DMA mapping leak during data setup errors. The issue occurs when the driver fails to allocate a tracking descriptor for PRP and SGL, leading to leaked DMA mappings. Additionally, mappings leaked when detecting invalid bio_vec during PRP mapping. This flaw has been fixed in updated Linux kernel versions.
