AI-suggested

A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue is fixed in updated kernel releases. Users should update their Linux kernel to the fixed versions to mitigate this vulnerability.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's igc driver was resolved, where the tx buffer type for SMD frames was not properly set. This could cause the reuse of stale buffer types leading to incorrect TX completion cleanup. The issue has been fixed by explicitly setting the buffer type to IGC_TX_BUFFER_TYPE_SKB.
