What to do

AI-suggested

A patch has been applied to the Linux kernel to fix this issue by adding proper checks in the adreno_get_param() function. Users should update to a kernel version that includes this fix. Since this is a kernel-level fix, upgrading the kernel is the recommended remediation.

Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's Adreno DRM driver for a2xx-a4xx GPUs could allow a userspace-triggered crash due to a NULL pointer dereference when querying UBWC-related parameters that are unsupported on these GPU generations. The issue arises because the driver attempts to fetch UBWC parameters that do not exist, leading to a crash. This has been fixed by adding checks in the adreno_get_param() function to return safe default values when UBWC configuration is absent.
