AI-suggested
A patch is available and should be applied to affected Linux kernel versions. The vendor advisory from Ubuntu confirms that this issue has been fixed in updated kernel packages. Users should update to the fixed kernel versions to mitigate this vulnerability.
Description
A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's IPv6 IOAM (In-situ OAM) implementation was fixed by recalculating a header pointer after a buffer reallocation. The flaw occurred because the hdr pointer was not refreshed after skb_ensure_writable() potentially reallocated the skb buffer, leading to invalid memory access. This vulnerability has been addressed in patched Linux kernel versions.
