Description
CVE-2026-64136 is a critical vulnerability in the Linux kernel's SMB client code where a missing lock around the tc_count increment in the smb2_find_smb_sess_tcon_unlocked() function could lead to concurrency issues. This flaw was addressed by refactoring locking mechanisms to properly protect tc_count increments. The vulnerability affects multiple Linux kernel versions prior to their respective fixed releases.
